Central Footwear Training Institute, Chennai, for the academic session 2014-15 in various postgraduate and diploma courses invites application for admission. Before June 16, 2014 Qualified candidates may apply in the prescribed format.

Courses on offer:
2 year Diploma in Footwear Design and Production
1 year Post Graduate Diploma in Footwear Technology
1 Year Post Diploma in Footwear Technology
1 year Certificate Course in Footwear Technology
Number of seats: 60 in each course
Age Range:
For 2-year diploma course
Upto 25 years as on 1st of August.
(SC / ST candidates up to 5 years in case)
For other courses
Upto 35 years as on 1st of August.
(relaxable upto 5 years in the case of SC/ST candidates)
Minimum qualifications:
Minimum 10 +2 or Higher Secondary: 2 year diploma course
Course or equivalent
Minimum graduate in any Post Graduate Diploma course
Discipline
Minimum diploma, post diploma courses in any discipline
Minimum 10 th grade: Certificate course
Desirable:
1. The year practical experience in a running shoe unit.
(Or)
2. Candidates sponsored by a registered MSME footwear manufacturing unit. (SSI registration certificate number must be obtained in their letter head)
Note:
SC / ST candidates are exempted from tuition fees only 100%.
SC / ST candidates relaxation up to 5 years of age.
10% of the seats shall be reserved for women candidates
22.5% seats for SC / ST candidates are reserved for
